The Case-Book Of Sherlock Holmes

Published in 1927 The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes was the concluding volume of Sherlock Holmes adventures. It contains the last 12 of 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written from 1921 to 1927. It is not without interest that some critics have traced the metaphysical elements in some of them signifying a spiritual side of Conan Doyle in his later life. “The Adventure of Shoscombe Old Place” was the ultimate Holmes adventure which was published in Liberty, a US magazine, in March 1927. It drew the curtain on the career of the greatest and most loved detective in the fictional world.
